A day trip to Keukenhof!

Hey y’all,

so for those of you who used to actively follow this blog, you’ve probably noticed that aside from two posts in the last couple months, I had somewhat forgotten about it, but the good news is, I am back. For now 🙂

For a few years now, I’ve wanted to experience the Tulip season in the Netherlands, and last year I almost planned a long weekend trip to come here, but unfortunately it did not work out. The good news is that for the last two months and until August, I have been and will be living in Amsterdam, so I was super excited to get to visit Keukenhof and the tulip fields around 🙂

Since early April I have been following the tulip field updates and the weather forecast to see when I can stop by and visit the park, and up until this morning I thought my plan might fall short. Luckily, when I woke up today and checked the forecast, the precipitation and storm chances were down to 30%, so I figured why not, and headed to Amsterdam Centraal. And I am soo glad I did!

Some organizational tips before I share some pics 🙂

You can either drive to Keukenhof or take public transportation. If you decide to do the latter, keep in mind that if you do not have any current transportation cards t, booking a Combi ticket from the Keukenhof website might be the most cost effective option for you.  In that case you’ll either take a train from Centraal to Schipol and then switch to a bus, or there’s also a bus option from somewhere in downtown Amsterdam to Schipol where you end up transferring to the same bus to Keukenhof.  Also, if you’re an actual tourist and do not have to work during the week, try to pick a day in the middle of the week and get there before 11 😀

And now for some gorgeous pics from my day in the park!

I mean look at that beauty:

& here are some close ups too:

&t that tree!!

& that white and purple together ❤

What about this flower that knows she’s the boss?

or this field of all blooming gorgeousness?

or those pink beauties that are chilling when everyone is running around in the distance?

Want to take a closer look?

& have you seen those flowers that are pretending to be a tree?

Ok, I think you’re getting the gist of it? It is actually that pretty!!

So, go! And early! and get yourself one of these pictures 🙂

And when you’re done with the park, either walk or cycle to the tulip fields around!!

Cheers! & until the next time. Feel free to message or post below if you have any questions!
